When she turned 10 months

I haven't been blogging for soooo long and I need to do quite a bit of catch up, simply because I want to remember those little things about Chloe.. So here is her 10 months update, even though it's already a month late :(

  • She got her second tooth!!! 3 weeks after the first one.
  • She managed to pull herself up on her feet in her bath by holding the handles in the bath. I don't know if I've mentioned it here before but it always felt like she was trying to do things in her bath before to do them out of it...
  • When we were at my mom's place she made some steps with my grandma's help. I have to say that I wasn't that thrilled about it... My sister has been studying for being a midwife, work in nursery etc, anyway, she told me that they don't recommend teaching them how to walk by holding their arms up because they won't learn how to walk normally without their arms up. I also read somewhere a week before to go to France that it was bad or they will always rely on us for everything.. So I decided to not do it and let her learn those things by herself... The only day I leave her alone the whole afternoon/day with my mom and grandma and they do that.. I was a bit pissed to be honest.. And also because they taught her something while neither me or Vadim where there... But anyway, what was done was done.
  • However, with that little help she got she was pulling herself up much more on a bit of everything, mostly on sofas.
  • While we were at my mom's place she also said papa!! She used to say "papapapa" or "mamamama" before but we didn't count it as a word as she obviously was using it for everything and not for us. But she said it over there for her papa, that was soooo cute :)
  • Her favourite game has definitely been Peekaboo this month!! She kept doing it all the time, with books, clothes, her bottle... whatever she could find :)

At home she would simply refuse to stay in her playpen, but she didn't mind playing by herself in the one at grandma's... It was better when outside but still xD

She learnt how to drink from a straw a couple of days before that picture. She's always had a huge obsession for Starbucks cups since she was able to see properly. I have no idea how I gave her my obsession for Starbucks but apparently she has it too now ^^  Anyway, I let you imagine how happy she was to be able to drink out of mama's Starbucks cup :p
Ps. Don't worry, it was only water in it ;)

She used to crawl a lot backwards - I believe a lot of babies do before to crawl "normally". That time she crawled all the way backwards from her play area - which is next to her bed - until she got stuck under her bed

On her 9th months birthday, under a really British summer and visiting the new park next to our home -  Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

She turned 9 months! - really nearly a month ago

Well it was already about 20 days ago, but..
I can not believe! We spend just as much time with her that she spent in my belly, how weird is that!

Here are all the "milestones" / progresses she made within this new month:

  • She started to speak!! She started by mixing all together "baba", "papa" and "mama". She then got better and better, but only on "baba" (which means bye bye for her I think) and "papa", that is just adorable when she speaks!! She's gonna be such a little chatter box!! Just like her Mama haha :p Sorry Papa :p  Now we can't wait for her to say those words with a real meaning, like to us :)
  • She clapped her fists to then clap her hands. She is now so good at it! She even does it when we ask her to do "Bravo", and most of the time - except if she plays shy - we don't need to show her.
  • And last but not least: she FINALLY got her first tooth!!!!!
I am insanely in love with that little bundle of joy!!

Sorry for this delay, I didn't realise I didn't post it - shame on me.

Maybe not the best picture from this week - not that there was any exceptional pictures actually xD - but the way she looks at her mobile... She loves it and I found it adorable how she smiles at it when I put her down in her bed for her nap, whether she is crying or not. On a little side note, I would play the music from this mobile on my belly almost every night during my pregnancy. I thought it would calm her every time she would hear it once born as it would remind her of this comfy and safe place where she was for 9 months, apparently it worked :)

On Ice Lollies for your babies

Hey guys!

I am finally making the post about those ice lollies, yeeeaaay!!!
July have been a quite warm month (Finally!!!), so V and I were eating a lot of ice cream, we didn't think very much at first and were just eating them in front of Chloe, who obviously wanted to try it then.. But obviously I want to avoid those kind of nasty things for her.. So I looked around and found in my Annabel Karmel's book a recipe for ice lollies. Soooo simple!! And Chloe loves it. Not only it helps her to refresh a bit during this heat, but it also helps her with her teeth coming through - did I tell that she finally got a tooth??!! On my birthday haha :p  Anyway, she also wants her food cold, not hot or warm, not even a teeny tiny bit warm, just cold xD  So ice lollies are perfect for her.

So I'm just gonna share it with you guys. Be prepared, this is the easiest thing EVER!

Here is what you will need:

Some fruits, here I followed Annabel Karmel's recipe. She says to use 1/4 of watermelon, 60g of raspberries and 40-50g of icing sugar for 8 lollies. I just did with feeling for quantities and didn't put any sugar as I prefer Chloe to taste more natural flavours and avoid "covering" tastes.

Obviously you will need some ice lolly moulds. Here's a little tricks I read on reviews: once it will be frozen, pass them under hot water before to separate them or some part of them will break. It did the trick for me ;) - I even tested the broken part haha.

And the last tool, a blender.
And here's what you need to do:

Cut the flesh from the watermelon and remove the seeds.

Put the raspberries and watermelon pieces in your blender.

Mix them all together.

Put the mixture in your moulds.

Et voila :)  You have nice, healthy, guilt free ice lollies for your baby that they will enjoy :)

I've basically used it everyday since, making them with different fruits, and even put a green smoothie in them once and some yogurt ones another time.

My very girly girl :)

Yesterday morning Chloe rediscovered her dolly. She got it for Christmas from my grandma, a Corolle Doll, I am in love with those and their scents. Until then she never played with it, she would occasionally chew on it to "make" her teeth. So I took it away and put it safely on the corner of her changing unit. But Sunday morning she saw it and got sooooo excited. She wouldn't let it go and been properly playing with it, kissing her etc the whole day, smiling and being excited every time she would get it again. It was just so much cuteness :)

This picture is delayed of a week.

On 14th of July Chloe tried her very first iced lolly, and had one for lunch everyday since xD With this heat it was unfair to eat ice creams infront of her without giving her any. And this way to do it is very healthy and so simple. I'll make a post about it very soon ;)  Anyway, she enjoyed it a lot!!!

On our new British Prince :) Congrats to the happy parents!!

Congratulations to William and Kate for their baby boy!!

She got this toy for her 8 months "birthday" and she really adores it :D

Hi everyone,

I am so sorry for being MIA for so long! I had a bit of an issue: an overloaded computer who refused my pictures for almost a month!! Anyway, it is fixed now and I can finally post :)

So, last month I decided to start a project of making one picture a day in manual. It's been a little while I've wanted to improve it and after seeing a couple of those kind of projects, seeing videos about it by Click it up a notch and reading some of her posts I finally decided to go for it. I also thought it was an amazing way of seeing Lizzie growing. Idea that my mom kind of had at her birth but after a C-section I wasn't really up for taking one picture a day etc xD  Hopefully my pictures will improve a lot within this year. Obviously some days will be horrible and won't look like nothing, but hey, it happens to everyone I guess xD  Also, as I don't want to spam this blog with one picture everyday - and with some not very good - I will put one a week instead. Every Monday you will have a picture from the past week - obviously this week is neither Monday and you won't have only one as I started this project on 1st of July, hence I have 2 weeks to catch up I think xD

All comments are more than welcome - except the useless ones - wether it is to give your opinion, good or bad, as long as bad one is constructive; to give some advice, which I would love to hear; or some ideas etc..

Hope you'll this new serie of posts :)

Xoxo

On Lorene's Latest "Coup de Coeur"

Hi guys! So as my birthday is coming really soon - I'll be 25 years old in 17 days, can you believe that?! I can't xD - I thought it was perfect timing for this kind of post I've thought of doing for a little while: a list of things that I am obsessed with lately, wether I am dying to buy them or I bought them recently and I'm still as much obsessed with them xD. So let's get started - I may try to make one for me and one for Chloe as well every month.

  1. I've heard about this Alpha H Liquid Gold in Fleur De Force's Youtube channel - if you don't know her, go check out her channel, she is so addictive! Haven't stop watching since I found her on Friday lol. Anyway, the way she talked about this product made it look so incredible that I am dying to get it now! I think I'll have to wait for a bit because it's a bit pricey, but maybe if I get some money for my bday.. :p
  2. I've seen this orange dots shirt at Topshop about 2 months ago and I just fell in love with it!
  3. Oh my god, those candles smells soooo good!!! We went to this really cute kinda antique shop in Islington with Vadim on Saturday, they have really adorable toys! And, THOSE candles, I just fell in love with their scents! Bring so much memories.
  4. This one is a really pricey item, but I just love it! I've had my eye on this camera bag for more than a year now and still hope I could afford it xD -one day one day ^^. It would be so much easier to take my camera everywhere with us if I had such a nice bag that I could simply use as a handbag... Maybe I should ask for it for Christmas :)
  5. Those Mason Jars might seem like nothing special but I am totally obsessed with them! They look so good for drinks, green smoothies, or even with candles inside!
  6. It's been a bit of a love/hate "relationship" with those sandals - in my brain at least lol. I think I first saw them on Taza's instagram (Oh and if you don't know her either, go check her blog! Her family is amazing and looks so lovely, I got addicted of following their adventures since November!) where she was saying how good they were to walk for hours in the city without having sore feet. So I thought "Ok let's buy those, it's summer soon", then I thought it looked to much of a mama's look - I always thought those sandals looked really mummy like - and decided to not buy them. But then when we came back from South of France i decided to walk much more than I do now, and ended up for walking like 5 hours on Monday, which killed the back of my heel - it's just healing now!! - and about 3 hours the day after, which gave a huge pain on the other foot when I was standing - same thing, just starting to not bother me as much, about 3 weeks later!!. So now, I really really want those shoes to be able to walk more around London without sore feet xD
  7. Bobbi Brown is by far my favourite make up brand - at least for lipsticks as I've only tried lipsticks. It's been 3 to 4 years I am using only this brand! My lips have always been really sensitive and would get dried after hours of wearing lipstick, which would make it looks really bad. But that doesn't happen with Bobbi Brown, and it's stays on for like 5 to 6 hours easy... This Beige Gold colour has been my first Bobbi Brown purchase and I've been thinking for months to buy it again.
  8. Same as for the first product, I've seen this bareMinerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment in Fleur De Force's channel and been dreaming about buying it since then.. But that is a bit pricey as well so might need to wait for a bit..
  9. I've been obsessed with those 3 colours! I've been obsessed with the mint one since last year actually. Now, the pink one is a big surprise as I am not a pink kind of girl at all! But it's been a couple of weeks I'm craving for some neo/pink nailnails. I ordered those 3 nail polishes, we'll see how I like the pink one which is a Essie, Fruit Sangria. I got the Butter London one yesterday, first Butter Londonin Fiver ever and I am in loooove with it!! And the colour... I've been staring at my nails since I've put it on yesterday night. I also ordered this Essie, A Crewed Interest one.
  10. Last one, those milk bottle vase. Have you seen it in decoration? I adore it!!! Can't wait to buy a couple of them for our house, with just a couple of flowers in each, so cute!

On our first holidays as a family Part IV

Here are the "non-portrait" pictures. I thought at first that it would be a good idea to put all of them in different parts, and hesitated for a while.. I'm not sure it is such a good idea anymore, what do you think? Shall I do it like that again next time or just mix them?

Anyway, South of France is one of my favourite place, it is just amazing!! So so so pretty!! My dream always been to have a holiday house there :p  How nice that would be... Having our little home down there and to be able to go once or twice a week....

Here are a couple of pictures from Grasse, such a lovely town! Too bad we didn't have such a nice weather. My grandma is literally living down this hill where Grasse is, and her friends and her always say "You want to know where Grasse is? Look at the clouds, Grasse is always the only place around with big clouds". Well, we experienced it very well this time when we went there xD  We even had thunder while on the bus back, which sounds much louder and scarier up there!
The thing I found quite funny there is that everything seemed terribly far to my grandma and others. If we were asking until where we could walk to get a bus from there and make it easier, the answer was "oh no you can't walk, it's too far, you can't catch a bus on the way". Which actually made us loose quite a lot of time at the end as people kept telling us to go aaaaall the way to Cannes, where we had to wait for 45 minutes before a bus arrived - with a real jerk for driver! Nothing do with the one on the way back - and have this bus that was for about 50 minutes... On the way there we realised that we could have stopped earlier from the first bus, but we'll know for next time ;)

I've always been and still am completely in love with those things on windows!!

I've been also really surprised by the beauty of Nice! I don't why at all but I didn't think I'd love it that much. I probably thought it would like centre of Cannes, which I don't like that much to be honest.

Very very unfortunately, those two pictures are the only ones we got from Monaco :(  That is such a shame because it is craaaazily pretty!!! We could have stay there for a whole day I think but couldn't stay longer than half hour to an hour. And my camera's battery died exactly 2-3 minutes after we came out of the station... We had my phone, which was lucky as I wasn't using it over there cos no internet or anything, but I couldn't put the pictures on my computer yet - no more space on it after 3 years :o

And here are a couple of picture from Le Chateau de La Napoule which is on my favourite beach around my grandma's place, and the beach where we were going every two days at least.

Oh dear South of France, I miss you so so much already!! See you next time ;)
